FAQ & Help!
If your query is not covered by the FAQ below drop us a line by email: info@e-gardendesign.com

How do I know how big my garden is?
A simple tape measure is all that is needed to get an idea of size. For example if your garden measures 10m long and is 4m wide then your total area is 40m2 (10m x 4m = 40m2), which would mean you qualify for the Truly Tiny Garden services for garden spaces up to 50m2. For the purpose of ordering don't worry about being spot on - a good guestimate will do.

I only want one small flower border redesigned/my garden is larger than 500m2, can you do this?

Contact us by email and we will give you a quote.

My garden is on a steep slope, can you still help?
Unfortunately no, gardens need to be on a flat or gently sloping site to qualify for this service.

How do you know what sort of garden design I would like?

Our easy to complete, in depth Questionnaire that we send out to you on receipt of your payment is designed to capture all the information we need to produce a garden plan tailored to your needs.

How easy is it to survey my garden myself?

Very easy. We provide all the instructions. A garden survey includes measuring the garden yourself and plotting the location of structures and plants, such as trees, that you wish to keep. We test the soil for you (from a sample you send to us) and we also check the aspect and other environmental factors.

What will my garden plan/s show?
The scalable colour Garden Design Plan will show the new layout of your garden and include major shrubs and trees and suggest suitable garden construction materials. The scalable Planting Plan will show the exact location and name of each plant. You will also receive a Garden Report - a summary of your soil analysis and any subsequent remedial action required and overview of the new garden design or planting plan. A list of suggested garden materials will also be enclosed if ordering the Garden Design Plan service and a list of plants including photos and brief descriptions of each will be enclosed if ordering the Planting Plan service. All plans are accurately prepared by hand and are a work of art in themselves.

How do I purchase a garden plan/s?
Making a purchase could not be easier. Select the appropriate garden size and service required on the ORDER webpage, complete your personal details and preferred method of contact i.e. by email or post. Click the 'next' button and choose thereafter your preferred payment method i.e. personal cheque (UK only) or credit/debit card. The credit/debit card option will take you to a buy it now section – simply select the service required and click on the 'Buy Now' buttons to add items to your shopping basket. You will then be taken to PayPal’s secure payment centre to complete the transaction – please note you do not need to have an account/be signed up etc to use this online banking service.

How will I receive my questionnaire and garden survey instructions?
That's up to you - on receipt of your payment we can either send these by email or by post - you select your preferred option on the ORDER webpage.

How long will my garden plan/s take to arrive?
Typically we turn around garden plans in 2/3 weeks on receipt of your completed questionnaire and survey. If you are in a hurry, let us know and we will try to accomodate you.

How will I receive my garden plan/s?
